Speaking at CapClave 2012

I will be appearing at CapClave 2011 (14-16 October 2011) in the following panels:

Saturday -- 12:00:00 PM -- Is There Room in an SF Universe for God?

Saturday -- 2:00:00 PM -- Real Other Characters

I confess I'm not completely familiar with the subject of the second panel, but the first one should be a real winner. I wonder if there will be any other theists on the panel except for me?

You can read all about CapClave 2011 at this site.

Science Fiction is all about What If stories. Even an atheist can imagine God existing and the impact that might make on their story universe. Unless I'm misinterpreting the panel's title, I'm not sure why there would be much controversy over whether a writer can make it work beyond the more specific problem of whether they SHOULD include God.

But I think "god" is mention in Science Fiction either is Ben Bova's New Morality or Allan Steele's The Church of the Holy Dominion. The same old religious right construct.

SF doses have many religious theems , but it depends on who's definition of god.
