Dreams As Problem Solving Tools

I know that talking about your dreams is as boring as anything, but I have to tell you about one I had last night in which I was going to perform a magic show only to discover I had left all my props behind at home. In desperation, I found a bag of Ping Pong balls and developed a Ping Pong ball production right on the spot.

When I awoke, I realized that the theory was sound and workable. With a little bit of tweaking, I now have a new addition to my show as soon as I can buy the props and can afford some time to practice it.

All I really need is either two or twenty Ping Pong balls (depending which version I want to do), the specially constructed gimmick, and a drinking glass.

I love it when my brain works weird. ;-)

Heh, I dreamt the other night I was flying around standing on a bar of soap. It was impossible to fall off it no matter what I did - I wish I could recreate that... I've very rarely felt so peaceful!

Cool! LOL I don't find talking about dreams boring at all, at least not the weird ones ^_^

Sounds like your subconscious was working hard on this trick, Craig. It should be a good one then!

I had a few dreams where I was inventing something in the dream...that may actually work and be a great invention. Last Week included one where temperature changes powered a heat pump... all based on fluid movement and chemical interactions (like propane-powered refrigerators)

I have preached great sermons and written great songs in my dreams. Sometimes I remember parts of them. Most of the time I don't.

I've also had those dreams where I'm supposed to preach or sing in front of large crowds, and I either forgot my notes or sheet music, or I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to do. Sometimes I wonder if that's a subconscious fear manifesting.
