Okay. I'll bite.
How'd you get connected from Coast to Coast?

I listen to them whenever I need a Weirdness fix. Conspiracy-a-Go-Go, 24/7.

I'd like to know how this happened, myself.

I think what happened is they took his joke about the lens flare in the pic being some sort of supernatural manifestation seriously. (I think it's called an "orb".)

True Believers are very easy to hoax. Just ask Iron Badger.

My mom LURVES Coast to Coast. She talks about it all the time.

Of course, she's also plotting to buy hundreds of acres in upsate PA to build a compound for the family where we produce our own electricity, dig our own wells and septic and live off the land away from all governement interference...

Does she have an underground bunker to ride out (dum dum dum) WORMWOOD?
Coast to Coast was on my clock radio when it went off (I'm getting myself onto East Coast time for AnthroCon). The subject was an interview with someone PROVING that a rogue planet named WORMWOOD (visible only on infrared, now boring in past the orbit of Neptune) was going to either collide with Earth or do a Velikovsky flyby ("incinerating a third of the planet with its methane atmosphere") either in summer 2009 or the end of 2012. (Summer 2009 being three-and-a-half years before the Mayan Calendar Apocalypse of December 2012.) NASA had detected it coming back in the Eighties but The New World Order kept everything secret "to prevent panic among the sheeple". "WORMWOOD is coming, you can see it at Right Ascension 18, IT'S ALREADY TOO LATE!"

Okay, so far looks like a linking of "Planet X Nibiru" with "Mayan Calendar 2012". Then he took a tangent into the Book of Revelation, how this fulfills End Time Prophecy and will cause mutations in locusts, giving them scorpion stingers with "viral venom" to sweep over the surviving world. "INCINERATE a third of the Planet! IT'S ALREADY TOO LATE!"

Then came the usual boilerplate about The New World Order and the Global Elite building their secret underground bunkers (under Area 51, China Lake, and Denver Airport, all connected by secret tunnels) for themselves and themselves alone "making the world safe for lawyers". "IT'S ALREADY TOO LATE!!!" After this...

Said interviewee identifies himself as a Christian, talks about "the Church no longer being on this planet" and "The Spirit of Antichrist will be revealed" in the Aftermath of WORMWOOD (along with the mutant locusts) and how he was "interpreting Revelation scientifically, what the prophecies LITERALLY mean", then he started indirectly (nudge nudge wink wink know what I mean know what I mean) on The Plan of Salvation...

That was when my brains melted out my ears and I had to turn it off. Planet X/Nibiru, New World Order/Illuminati, Book of Revelation/Antichrist, all together in one Grand Unified Conspiracy Theory, then Salvation through the Name of Jesus...

I'm glad I'm going to AC. After that, I need the reality check of 3000 furries letting it all hang out.

Addendum to the above
(Hope literary_equine posted the first, else this will make no sense.)

Checked the Coast to Coast website on the above and it gets better. "Wormwood" is supposed to be a methane Brown Dwarf, which would make it at least 4000 times as massive as Earth. If Earth gets close enough to a Brown Dwarf to exchange atmosphere, the explosive-mixture atmo "raining down fire to INCINERATE the Planet" is going to be the least of Earth's worries -- tidal forces would have torn Earth into a debris ring around the Brown Dwarf long before that. And then where would the mutant locusts with scorpion stingers swarm for The Antichrist?

(I heard somewhere that when the Church was first establishing the canon, there was an argument to leave Revelation/Apocalype out of the Bible because of the danger of people going off the deep end with it.)

And the website speaks of "Wormwood" making a disruptive close pass in 2009 before closing for the kill in 2010. I don't know about you, but THAT is a direct swipe of Bronson Alpha's trajectory in Philip Wylie's 1933 SF novel When Worlds Collide...
