Dyads Critique

My novella, Dyads, cowritten with Ken Pick, was critiqued here.

All, in all, I agree. Dyads is not for the kiddies. It does, after all, have a high body count, but I suspect it would be more than suitable for anybody over the age of 18.

Nonetheless, thanks to LitLand for the nod. Much appreciated.

Well, I disagree with Litland's interpretation that is disagrees with Scripture, since Scripture never discusses alien species, as well as the thought that people can't make sound decisions before 20.

Nice to see that the story got critiqued, and I liked the line "fuzzy aliens and their fuzzy religion".

No we just have to start pulling for that Hugo. ;)

Yeah, I thought it was kinda weird that the reviewer feels folks shouldn't be exposed to the hard questions about theology and morality until after age 20 O.o In our youth group, we're talking about those things with kids as young as 11 because they bring them up...

And I didn't realize ISIG was aimed at teens. I'd assumed it was for adults lol

This is literary_equine's writing partner. The guy who did the final draft and worldbuilt the universe.

I did NOT write it as a Juvenile or Young Adult. I wrote it "for grown-ups", trying for the kind of story I used to read from Poul Anderson et al in the pages of Sixties-vintage Analog.
