Wanted: A Review

An action flick with car chases and special effects and a century old guild of assassins and Angelina Jolie. What more could I want?

Well, the reason it was named Wanted is because after it was over I wanted a real story and real characters and a real point to it all.

Yes, I know it was a comic book, but even a good comic book has to have a story, characters, and a purpose.

This nihilistic mess leaves you literally with the closing message: "Life is meaningless. Go do something violent."

But of course we all know that people are not actually being inspired to think in such nihilistic terms, even though television, films, and videogames are full of this same message, over and over.

You'd like the comic - which was very different - even less. The message there seems to have been 'evil has triumphed and made dark the world; and you're screwed if your not with those who now rule it.'

So instead of seeing this, I went and saw Narnia again. :)
